Number of years in practice: Dr. Poon attended optometry school at the University of California at Berkeley and has been practicing optometry for 18 years. She joined Dream Vision Eye Care in 2007.
About Dr. Poon: For Dr. Poon, one of the best things about being an optometrist is the opportunity to meet a lot of people and get to know them. Building relationships with patients also fine tunes the care they recieve from Dr. Poon. A little extra knowledge about a patient's lifestyle helps her recommend the best type of lenses. Dr. Poon participates in vision screening for the Special Olympics and senior center programs and likes gardening for relaxation.
About the office: Dream Vision is a full-service vision care center conveniently located on the corner of Kapiolani and Pensacola. Clients may see Dr. Poon or Dr. Sherilyne Tarumoto for their annual vision exams and select new frames or contact lenses in the same location. Eyeglass frames are available for adults and children with prices for every budget. Dream Vision also takes care to offer frames suitable for the Asian facial structure with built-up nosepads and a wider width. Optician Edgar Gonzalez is on-hand to help get the perfect fit and offers a variety of coatings to enhance driving, transition lenses and can create new lenses in-house. Edgar also does complimentary repairs.
